The Kentucky Hemp Research Foundation will host their first annual Local Hemp Foods Cook-Off on Saturday, Aug. 27th from 4-6pm at Fifth Third Pavilion in downtown Lexington. Local Lexington restaurants have been given hemp foods (hearts, oil, flour, toasted seed) prior to the event and each will come up with a unique dish for all to taste! The dishes will be judged by event attendees on Best Taste, Most Unique and Best Kids Menu Item!
Local restaurants that are currently signed on to participate include: The Press, The Village Idiot, Whole Foods Market (Lexington Green), Goodfella’s Pizzeria, Sav’s Chill, Noodle Nirvana, Pazzo’s Pizza Pub and more may be added as we get closer to the event! Live music will be provided by The Woodsheep.
This is a great community event to educate people on the benefits of incorporating hemp into their diets, and there will also be plenty of new recipes for experienced hempsters to try as well!
Suggested $10 donation to the Kentucky Hemp Research Foundation at registration.
